Waylon Abernathy III, BS, BSN, MSDS, is a dynamic leader in healthcare, combining expertise in patient care, quality, informatics, and data science. Previously, he worked in clinical and business operations at Walmart, and was integral in EMR implementation and enhancing decision-making tools in pharmacy and optical services. Waylon was an ICU/CCU and ER nurse for over a decade before serving as the Physician Quality Liaison at Washington Regional Medical Center, where he improved quality metrics in value-based care. He holds a Master’s in Applied Data Science from Syracuse University and Bachelor’s degrees in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and Nursing.
